If you've ever been interested in the basics of the Buddha’s teachings (and the source of his serenity), this series is for you. In the classes, offered by Dharma Holder Linda Hoju Strauss, we'll focus on the foundations of Buddhism including the Four Noble Truths and the Noble Eightfold Path and more. These teachings are the insights that have been handed down for generations and are still alive for hundreds of millions of practitioners around the globe today. Bring your curiosity.

It’s time to celebrate the Buddha's enlightenment and Parinirvana! This is a weekend virtual retreat in your home zendo, and an opportunity to dedicate your 90-day Ango practice period. During Ango — a tradition stemming from the Buddha’s time — we’ll increase our practice commitment and explore new avenues of practice in our own way.
Special Event: During this year’s retreat we will also celebrate a Dharma Holder Empowerment ceremony for Rev. Timothy Kojin Wever and Saturday, Dec. 10 starting during the 3rd period.

Heart Circle Sangha offers a rare opportunity to deepen your practice with our online fall retreat (sesshin). Sesshin is an immersive meditation experience in the company of experienced Zen practitioners. If this is your first retreat, we will guide and support you through it. The daily schedule and Zoom links are sent to participants in advance.
